Was ordered in 1998 at Van Der Giessen - De Noord by Strintzis Lines, intended to serve Brindisi – Patras line with the name “Superferry Atlantic”. However, after the acquisition of 48% stake by Attica Enterprise, the name was changed to “Blue Star 1”, a name which reminds the other member of Attica Group, Superfast Ferries, changing also the line for Ancona - Brindisi - Patras, for a sailing time of 21 and 9 hours from each Italian port to Peloponnese. Despite her excellent results on Brindisi line from 2001 the call in Brindisi on the way from Ancona to Patras was substituted by calling in Igoumenitsa from April to October. On 2002 the call at Igoumenitsa became regular, first substituting the same service of Superfast Ferries, operated by the twins “Superfast III and IV”, sold to Trans Tasmania, then, after the delivery of “Superfast XI”, started sailing from Piraeus to Kos and Rhodes stopping frequently also in Syros, Mykonos, Amorgos, Patmos and Leros. After having changed its service with those of her sister on Piraeus – Chania line, after the closure of the service on March 2005 was moved on Bari – Corfu - Igoumenitsa – Patras line.
