Last one of four sister ships built at Orlando Yards of Leghorn, was ordered by Adriatica Navigazione as their
“Espresso Ravenna”; anyway under that name she was never in service for the
Venetian company, being chartered to Tirrenia for 12
years. Back to Adriatica in 1990, was renamed
“Espresso Venezia”, starting service on Greece and
then passing on Adriatica services to Croatia,
Albania and Bar, in Jugoslavia, having Ancona as her main port. She remained in Adriatica hands until 2003, when was sold to Halkydon Shipping after a private negotiation, causing some
rumours in Italy as long as she was owned by the State should have been sold by
a regular auction. Sold to Greek owners, the ferry was transferred to
