This ferry of Halkydon is
part of the endless serie of ro/ro’s built in the seventies for Trans Tirreno Express and Adriatica. In
1979 was sold to Grandi Traghetti,
a company of Grimaldi Group, being renamed “Freccia del Nord”; also the
following sale to Granferry and the renaming as
“Angelina Maglione” seems to be also between the
companies of Grimaldi Group. In 1989 was sold another
time, to So.Mar.Gi., as the “Ro-Ro Primula”; in this
case I don’t know who was behind this shipowner, but
I suspect that we’re speaking of Grimaldi even in
this case. The ferry was bought by Halkydon Shipping
in 1994, being renamed “Filippos” and reflagged to
ADRIATICA Ro/Ro
