Purchased from Hankyu Ferry in 1991
together with her sister, the most famous “Dame M”, was intended to start
services in 1994 from Ancona after a considerable refit
to change her ro-ro appearance to a luxurious
cruise-ferry. The 1994 season saw the deployment of “Dame M” on international
services, but “Grace M” was in Eleusis Bay waiting
the never carried refit; she left Eleusis only twelwe years after her arrival heading to Aliaga. It’s a mistery why
Marlines had purchased a relatively young (only 19 years old in 1991)ferry to
leave him anchored so many time; I don’t think that the company’s crisis could
be an answer, because Marlines decreased their services from 1996 after the
arrival in Ancona of Superfast
Ferries, so if anyone of you has some ideas about “Grace M” can write me; I
would be very pleased to publish the theories on my site.
