Line |
Built for Japanese owners in 1971, came to Greece when she was only one
year old, bought by ANEK to serve its new route from Piraeus to Heraklion.
Deployed on various routes when displaced by larger tonnage, was chartered by
DANE for 1999 season on Dodecanese routes (Piraeus - Patmos - Leros - Kalymnos - Kos - Rhodes
and Piraeus - Astypalea - Kalymnos
- Kos - Rhodes). Surely the DANE livery on this ship is more suitable than Anek Lines one, which is usually on much bigger ships, but
the funnel is painted in a more bright yellow. On DANE services, was the only
ferry with the European Union flag painted on her sides, a sign which remained
there from the previous ANEK livery. In 2000, was back to Anek
Lines for her last season of service under Cretan colours, being sold the
following year to Naif Marine Services. Was scrapped
on February 2008.
