OFF Stessa inquadratura, stessa nave, diversi giorni, diversi proprietari, diversi momenti storici. Nella prima foto, scattata a Pireo il 6 agosto 2005, la DIAGORAS è ancora vestita della livrea Dane Sea Line, una compagnia ormai fallita ed in attesa della liquidazione dei propri assetti. Di fronte, un futuro incerto, il portellone posteriore chiuso. Nella seconda, la stessa nave, ripresa il 4 novembre 2006 a Pireo, ha ormai la livrea di Blue Star Ferries, che si è aggiudicata le navi DANE all’asta, ed il portellone è aperto, pronto ad accogliere nuovamente passeggeri e mezzi in rotta per il Dodecaneso, dove viene mantenuta in linea. E, soprattutto, mantenendo il nome scelto dalla compagnia di Rodi, per simboleggiare l’unione tra questa nave e l’isola alla quale è legata.

ON Same framing, same ship, different days, different owners, different moments. In the first picture, caught in Piraeus on August 6^th, 2005, the DIAGORAS is still painted in Dane Sea Line livery, a company which went bankrupt and had their assets to be settled. The future of this ferry was uncertain, and this was well symbolized by the stern ramp closed. The second picture, shooted at Piraeus on November 4^th, 2006, displays the same ship with Blue Star Ferries’s livery, the company which won the auction for DANE assets, and the stern ramp is lowered, ready to embark again passengers and vehicles to the Dodecanese, where she was rerouted again. And, maintaining the name chosen by the Rhodes-based company, as to strenghten the relationship between the ship and her island.
