Principalmente
percorsa da navi “open type”, la rotta da Corfu a Igoumenitsa comincia ad
essere percorsa sempre più frequentemente da navi tradizionali; tra di esse
spicca la EKATERINI P, della Fast Ferries, ad Igoumenitsa
in partenza per Corfu il 3 agosto 2000. Da anni
presente con navi “open type” sulla linea, la
compagnia continuerà su questa strada anche con la Platitera,
ma la deregulation intervenuta riporterà le “open type”
a Corfu, facendo investire la compagnia nel mar
Egeo. L’ALTRA
ROSSA THE OTHER RED ONE The Corfu – Igoumenitsa line was mainly
effected by open-type ferries, but the traditional ships started replacing
them; among the closed ferries there is the EKATERINI P of Fast Ferries, here
seen at Igoumenitsa in the morning of August 3rd,
2000, leaving for Corfu. The company operated this service with open-type
ferries for years, but followed the new trend later with the Platitera; the deregulation anyway, put back the “open
type” ferries at Corfu, while Fast Ferries started investing in Aegean sea. |
